Water Harvesting & Livelihood Enhancement
RBKS constantly endeavors for effective enhancement and preservation of natural resources and livelihood of tribal communities in remote areas. With the same objective, RBKS, supported by Wells for India, UK, works towards providing a livelihood security plan against drought in 9 villages. This programme is aimed at managing land and water resources in the area to reduce the vulnerability of poor people to drought conditions in the area. The programme covers 8500-hectare land area and aims at providing clean drinking water, food and fodder to 2700 tribal families in the area. The programme focuses on increasing the base productivity of livestock and manages water resources with an aim of improving the livelihood of tribal families.
