Microcredit
RBKS has always believed that village institutions are the platforms through
which people can access development opportunities. There is also a conscious
emphasis on creation of women self-help groups in all project areas. These
groups are involved in thrift and credit, which would be of use at times of
crisis, such as drought, accidents, etc. RBKS is strongly promoting these
groups, in order to raise the women’s esteem and provide them with the
opportunity of being equal stakeholders in village development programs. RBKS
has formed 45 women and men self-help groups till date. Majority of the groups
consist BPL members.
