These facts were used as discussion issue with parents, who ultimately got ready to send their daughters if some opportunity can be provided. The follow-up was a “Shivamba Shivir” (Comprehensive Girls Education Camp) started in 2005. In these camp six women facilitated learning for 101 girls (30 girls from NFE centers were also linked to this camp) towards the end of camp an examination was held by block education office of government of Rajasthan. In this examination performance of girls was overwhelming 70 and 31 Girls passed 8th and 7th respectively. All the basic amenities including accommodations, uniform, food, etc were provided by state government. The local self-governance (Panchayat, Tehsil office and BEO) was instrumental in successful completion of the camp.
